EVENT RULES AND GUIDELINES
Additional rules concerning this event are included in the Mass Media section of this document.
1. Students are encouraged to think of the video event as preparing a presentation for television. The entry should be more than a speech delivered behind a podium and recorded on video. They should be creative in the way they present the material. This is an individual event. Submit Storyline videos for groups.
2. This category is not to be a PowerPoint/Prezi presentation, puppet show or anything other than a video recording of an individual student presenting a speech.
3. The content should be based on the selected annual convention theme.
4. The video should be submitted by the convention registration deadline.
5. Time limit and penalties
• Presentations must be two-and-one-half to three minutes for all ages.
• Students will be penalized two points for one to 10 seconds over or under the time limit; four points for eleven 11 to 20 seconds over or under the time limit; etc.
• Any self-identification by the participant shall be penalized three points.
